JOB EXPERIENCE
Freelance audio engineer – 1996 to present
I have recorded, edited and produced audio for musicians, voice
talent, radio and video, using the hottest software sequencers in the
industry: Pro Tools, Digital Performer, Logic, Cubase and Nuendo on
the Mac and PC platforms. My thorough understanding of audio
production and post-production techniques, affinity for creativity,
diplomacy with artists and clients and immense troubleshooting skills
results in top-notch products, suitable for release, airplay, web,
etc. Artists are justifiably meticulous with their art, so I
complement them by being swift and efficient with the equipment and
supportive of their art. My further involvement with sound for video
and DVD authoring incorporating stills, video, motion, audio and
surround ultimately melds the ears and eyes to produce professional
presentations that entice the viewer. For this, I use Mac Final Cut
Pro and DVD Studio Pro or PC Sony Vegas-DVD Production Suite.

Site Editor - Vitaminic USA Inc. – January 2000 to November 2002
This was an international music website, one of many popular at the
time when the evolving broadband and MP3 format spawned a totally new
approach to music dissemination. I was hired for this position because
of my vast knowledge of and interest in commercial and independent
music, enthrallment with online distribution, computer software and
hardware skills and writing talent. My job was to attract visitors to
the site by numerous methods: used my best judgment to place
appropriate and gifted talent on the homepage and main genre pages,
wrote a daily blog, wrote and sent relevant email newsletters to
subscribers, negotiated and communicated with record labels, partners
and musicians, wrote marketing copy and assisted in formulating
incentives such as contests, reviewed daily site statistics and
revised content if visitation was low, attended weekly staff meetings
and periodic meetings at the company headquarters in Italy, and
represented Vitaminic at music industry functions. I even maintained
and fixed PCs and the network when things went wrong. Through my
efforts and intense music knowledge, Vitaminic was able to gain
notoriety in the online music industry that had major competitors such
as MP3.com, Listen.com, Riffage.com, etc. Unfortunately, after the
dot-com bust and terrorist activities, Vitaminic closed its USA office
and relieved the staff.
Web Producer - ZDTV – July 1998 to December 1999
Before TechTV, there was ZDTV and its Fresh Gear program. I was the
Web Producer that corresponded to the TV show. My primary function was
to post video of the anchors reviewing the latest digital products.
The TV show was live in the morning and I posted by noon. Hence, under
some time pressure, with Adobe Premiere on the PC or Mac I reviewed
each video segment, edited out unnecessary footage, then used
efficient codecs to create Real files to post on the ZDTV Fresh Gear
website. I wrote and added headlines and used my best judgment to make
the most popular product reviews highly visible on the site. This job
really honed my post-production video skills.
Publicity Director - International Forum of the World Affairs Council
of Northern California – March 1996 to March 1998
The non-profit Council had a web presence in December 1995 and was an
early pioneer on the Internet. In March 1996, I became the Council's
webmaster and launched another website for the International Forum.
Hence, I maintained two sites concurrently when the web was a very new
concept. I used the sites and email list to publicize events while
concurrently employing traditional methods to promote activities and
the organization, such as writing and sending press releases to news
outlets, disseminating fliers, representing the Council and Forum at
events and helping host promotional seminars.
