I just finished shooting a documentary titled "The Long Ride Home", we followed several hundred Vietnam Vets on Harley’s across the US from LA to Washington DC for the Rolling Thunder Rally (This is a five part series that will air on PBS this Fall). I shot many hours of footage from the back of a Harley and hanging out of the chase vehicle. I have extensive experience with technically challenging documentary projects and can safely and easily rig helmet cams to just about anything that moves.
I have freelanced in film production for seven years on projects ranging from feature films and national commercials to independent films and documentaries. I have a real passion for documenting live events, capturing the range of human emotion, and getting the most beautiful and exciting shot possible. Each year over four hundred thousand Vietnam Vets, family members and supporters all on motorcycles, transform Washington DC into a rally of loud pipes, black leather and unbridled emotion as they champion to bring all of the unaccounted for soldiers home. A journey that crosses the United States, alongside the Vets as they make their personal "Run for the Wall". Small tows close down across the country to salute the soldiers, make them lunch, invite them into their schools and give them the welcome they never received. This is a heartbreaking celebration of their long ride home.
