GENERAL ======= What interested you in TV Moto? Where are you working now? >> Down in Santa Monica, started at Seals, out on his own the last few years. Do you ride motorcycles yourself? >> worked on motorcycle for 15 years, but doesn't ride themselves. What positions are you most interested in? Director, Producer, Editor, Cameraman? >> most interested in Field Producing Does editing when comes in from field, often on final cut pro. short, 5 to 9 minute pieces, coordinate the shoot, gets footage, puts final cut together, folks review on web, sends final piece. Right now producing Extreme 4x4 on Spike. Camera Operators ================ what are the cameras that you use? >> used Beta until last, for 4x4 shows, big DV cams (not pd150, bigger), some high def. HD - did stuff in extreme sports for kids Please describe the additional equipement that use, lighting gear, microphone gear? >> Do you have defined packages that you use? >> depends on your budget. What are your rates? >> depends on your budget, location, what it is? Director/Field Producers ======================== What interested you about TV Moto ad? the size of crew you worked with? >>For extreme 4x4, camera guy in SF area, 2nd camera guy, POV camera, B roll, interviews, usually crew of 3. What kind of budgets did you work under? >> contracted out, 36 pieces, 18 shoots, he finds events, pitches events to Extreme 4x4, includes travel costs, usually those two camera guys and me. somewhere between $5K and $10 per pieces. 36 peices over 42 weeks. what were your responsibilities on these jobs >> man of many hats, coordinates shots, finds events, directs events, fields produces, does alot of features now, but used to do alot of 1/2 hour shows. What kind of travel did you have to do? >> international, Athens, Costa Rico, Brazil, Canada, Mexico. Been all over the world. Are you freelance or own your own production company.
