Dear sir,

I'm a recent transplant back to the bay area after a couple of years and am looking for shooting work.  Being a motorcycle enthusiast myself, this position sounds like a perfect fit for me.  Looking forward to hearing more about the contracting work and speaking with you on the phone.  Sorry, reel is DVD hard copy only.  Thanks so much.

Best,
Taylor Fitzgerald

I am a native Montanan working in the film industry for eight years,
shooting and editing HD 24P, HDV, Betacam SP, Super 16mm, for a variety
of projects, documentary, news, fiction film, commercial, and
industrial.  Networks include:  HBO, NBC, OLN, ESPN, Discovery, CNN.

I have experience with the latest FCP and Avid systems, also Premiere,
After Effects, Live Type, DVD Studio Pro, Cool Edit Pro, and Pro Tools.

I have produced, directed, and shot films in Ireland, France,
Denmark, Turkey, Australia, Mexico, Canada, and in America coast to
coast.  I love travel and am a self-contained shooting unit with SONY DV
equipment and MAC laptop editing station.

My strength as a DP is being able to shoot great looking footage on a
low budget.  I can light and shoot quickly, direct teams of gaffers,
grips, and assistants, and can deliver all of this in hostile
environments.

My strength as an editor is working fast to assemble a rough cut, then
the patience to make every final cut work to each frame.  I keep a keen
eye on the continuity and flow of the scene, but usually cut to the
performance and beats of the actors and narrative.

I have a BFA in Motion Picture and have won first place at a Jackson
Hole film festival for my senior thesis project.  It was also shown in
the Ohio Independent Film Festival.  A Columbia University grad student
film I shot was recently shown in Portland at a film festival.  Two
other CU grad films I shot have shown around the country in New York
LA, and San Francisco.  My own project, a PBS-style historical fiction
film on the life of Johnny Appleseed, which I wrapped late 2004 is in
post.
